while I am tempted to say my own special brownies here, I have to say the best thing I had over the weekend were the king crab legs and shrimp that were juicy and cooked to perfection.

I made myself a buffalo chik'n sandwich.
A boca chik'n patty smothered in Frank's wing sauce and then topped with my homemade vegan ranch.
Oh my god, it was heaven! I used to really love buffalo wings so this was just perfect.

That does sound delicious, and reminds me of a buffalo chicken pot pie recipe that I need to make again. You make your own ranch dressing?

Yup! It's super easy and convenient. Here's the recipe!
Best Vegan Ranch Dressing:1/2 cup vegan mayonnaise
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon parsley , chopped
1/4 cup unsweetened soymilk
Directions:
Whisk all ingredients together and chill before serving. Add a little more soy milk if you need to thin dressing.
Makes: 1 cup, 41 calories/tablespoon

LizO, enjoy the chili! I had a batch on Friday for my frito pie, it turned out good but I think I should have made it spicier. I only used jalapenos this time, no habaneros.

I went with my mom to this place called Firehouse Pizzeria and the whole meal was so. damn. good.
Salad with honey raspberry vinaigrette.
Focaccia bread with garlic alfredo dipping sauce.
Cordon bleu pasta.
and then this thing called a Fhh'zookie. It's a cookie (we got english toffee) cooked up in a cast iron skillet, then topped with vanilla ice cream, caramel and fudge syrup. Oh my goodness, so rich and sweet and tasty!
I tried a new pizza place this weekend and it was amazing!
2012 Reading Challenge
I recently went to my favorite Resturaunt Collina's, and I had the BEST Greek salad and Spinach Alfredo Pizza!!!! OMG! SO GOOD! Just thinking about it now, makes me want it again!

Yes! Well, I work in the city limits but live out west in the 'burbs. Of course I am in the city quite a bit, though.
