Anyone do anything exciting? D&R something awesome? Go out to eat somewhere wonderful?
Re: How was your weekend?
I already posted about my D&R projects below.
I did, however, spend $4 on a bag of about a dozen chocolate chip cookies at the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning/early afternoon. I ate them all in 2 days. At least my midwife might be happy I'm gaining my weight back that I lost!

LOL, Emo.
I don't want a kid, but if we decide to go for it someday, I look forward to eating cookies with abandon (although not in a JS sort of way) ...
We took the weekend to vegetate. Seriously. Friday night we watched a movie. Saturday we sat on the couch and read books for most of the morning, then wandered out and did a little shopping, then read more books in the evening.
Yesterday we hit up the grocery and such, then grilled on the deck and relaxed until sunset. It was WONDERFUL.
D&R related, I hit up the SW 40% sale and I felt like a kid in a candy store lol We just closed on our (hopefully "forever") house two weeks ago, and I have been going nuts with D&R projects!
As soon as we moved in, I painted the living room SW Ivoire and this weekend I bought SW Sea Salt for the dining room & kitchen, BM Proposal for DD1's room (color matched to SW), SW Celery for DD2's room, and BM Wythe Blue (color matched) for the half bath. The dining room will have wainscoting (JennaSue's project!) on the bottom half, and the half bath will have beadboard.
The living room, dining room, and kitchen are now done (painted - lots of other work to do!) and I am LOVING how it looks! My obsessive Pinterest scouting and sample square painting paid off for sure.
Sorry, that was really detailed lol
In general, I try and eat pretty healthy and not indulge too much, but I went all winter without these cookies so apparently I just couldn't help my damn self. Thankfully, I bought a second bag -- of peanut butter blossoms though -- for DH so I only stole them from the kiddo. He didn't need the sugar anyways lol.

Still trying to make progress on my office, but with my parents in town, it was a futile effort. I did get some drawers organized and emptied out one Ikea expedit for my parents to take to my sister along with an old desk lamp. Also pawned off some old glasses and things for little sis as well. DH was happy about that.
We did break in the cornhole boards that DH made and I painted, here I'll AW them with a PIP:

We had a totally exhausting non d&r weekend...unless you count buying a Booster Bath for the dogs. Oh, and stopping at a fabric store to look for curtain fabric. No luck on the fabric, but I now have an idea what DH likes, and it was fun.
We had to drive through Los Angeles to OC and back, both Friday and Sunday for the Pet Expo. Friday it was with the pups, (woking from 10-6) but Sunday it was just us, and a booth's worth of stuff on the way home. I had gone down Wednesday too, to set up the booth. I am really feeling like DH is nuts for dragging his heels about moving closer to his work....I have no idea how he drives in that kind of traffic on a daily basis.
The pups are still recovering from the stress of Friday. People were allowed to bring their dogs, and it was a bit stressful to have that many dogs, mostly because the people weren't keeping an eye on what their dogs were doing while they were busy shopping and looking at the dogs that were part of the booths, (like our dogs). Lucky for them, they don't have to go anywhere today. I had to go to the chiropractor, and I have to go workout and do zumba this evening. It is cold and wet here today, so I kind of want to put my jammies on and stay in.lol
Sweet! Nice job!
We selected tile, carpet and backsplash for our new build home. Post about it Saturday. Other than that, we basically spent the weekend relaxing but it went way too fast!

We went to my nephews first birthday party...which was out of this world. That night, I got to catch up with a friend and her daughters then help my Mom with some decor items for my brother's rehearsal dinner.
Then my Dad got ordained the next day. Pretty nice weekend!
I had 2 birthday parties this weekend, one for my cousin (bowling) and one for my best friend (a patio bar - fun!). Those were Friday and Saturday nigths, so our day on Saturday consisted of this:
Sleepy man, sleepy dog. Haha we did include a soccer game of my niece's in that sleepy day! Sunday was some yard work, piano lessons, church, the good stuff, with some sushi for dinner! It was overall a good weekend!
I just posted a pic from my birthday above :-)
Saturday we spent putting the house back together (some) from the flooring install. I'm going to post pics soon, I promise!!
