What to wear to a bridal shower?

The only one I've been to is my own Embarrassed

At the bride's sister home.  Nothing to fancy, I guess, but how do i know?  It's early May afternoon, so it could be sunny and 80*, or it could be cloudy/rainy and 50*.

If it were summer, I'd wear a sundress.  If it were winter I'd wear black skinny jeans and leather boots.  BUT IT'S IN BETWEEN.  lol

 What would you wear?

EDIT:  And please don't suggest black slacks.  I feel like I'm going to work in those.

Re: What to wear to a bridal shower?

  • Dress for the weather.  If it's 80, then go ahead and wear a sundress.

If it's 50, then wear a skirt and/or dress with tights. To make it more "spring" choose something in brighter colors or a floral print.

  • I agree totally with what SA said. I dress more for the weather than the season.

  • A pretty dress.   Sundress in the summer and a long sleeved dress in the winter.
  • I would say a knee length dress or capris and a cute blouse.
