It's so early...

Okay, it's 6:00 so I guess it's not THAT early. I overestimated the time it would take me to get ready. The time to just sit is pretty nice so I'll probably keep getting up "too" early...at least until I get stuck on night shifts. What is everyone doing today? This will probably be a post and run but I'll be back after my shift. Woo that's fun to say!

Re: It's so early...

  • I actually had a decent sleep the first in about a week.  I did some yoga this morning.  Now I am getting dinner ready so H can pop it in when I text him tonight as I have to close the center tonight.  I might try to take a run on my lunch today and see if i do any better than last time.
  • It's freezing here! wtf. I'm enjoying my coffee before heading to work, looking forward to doing some Zumba on my Wii tonight!!

  • My life right now is work-homework-class-homework. I feel bad for my dogs because I work 8.5 hours, come home and study or nap then head off to class for 2.5 hours. When I get home from class, I work on my other online class and then go to bed. And I have finals this week and next so I'm only averaging 6 hours of sleep a night. I'm burning out!!! 2 more weeks!!!! And, I start my new job next week. Im really proud of myself for getting it!

  • I'm freezing this morning as well.  Work is going to blow again today...somehow my department is again picking up the slack for another department after we gave them 2 people from our department to help with this project.  It's like being asked for gas money after letting someone borrow your car.

I'm looking forward to the cheeseburger lettuce wraps I'm making for dinner tonight.

  • I have to go to the hospital today and try to get my medical records sorted out. I requested them from my civilian hospital in WA, but they said they didn't have any. After spending the afternoon on the phone, we got it figured out so now I'm crossing my fingers that they will be faxed in and filed by tomorrow for my EFMP meeting.

I think I'll drink a lot of coffee today to keep myself warm since it's freezing here too.

  • Congrats on the job LL!

Rough night of sleep over in our neck of the woods. The baby is still sleeping but DD was up at 5:55, only about 20 minutes after I nursed the baby back to sleep for the 6th time last night. I have the biggest cup of coffee in the biggest mug we own.

Got to talk to DH for a few minutes this morning which was great. He told me to make a reservation to come see him this weekend. Weeeee! Big Smile

  • I will go to work, go straight to class, come home, do more work, call my husband (he's not here at the moment), and go to bed. All while trying to fit in working on a paper due later this week. (Think my clients would mind if we skipped their counseling session and they helped me write my paper?)

Needless to say it sounds like everyone is pretty stressed this week- and it's only Tuesday morning! Good luck today everyone!

Hang in there for two more weeks of crazy!

Yesterday I told DCoNJ that C was STTN now that her latest ear infection is gone.  That kid made a liar out of me!  She cried for maybe 2-5 min every hour or so.  I don't know what was up.  I only went in there twice to pat her back since she wasn't waking up but talk about disruptive!  Zzzzz.

I don't want to be on MSNBC, yo.
  • I've found that I like to get up early, too.  I get up at the same time as DH, go workout (normally, today's schedule is screwy), come home and get showered and dressed, and then I have 1.5 to 2 hours before I need to start work.  It means I don't have to rush breakfast, and can take care of a few chores around the house so they aren't hanging over me.

Today, on the other hand, I have an early am doctor's appointment (7:20).  The plan is to insist on getting a referral, because I'm fed up with my PA trying to figure out why I have all the classic hypothyroid symptoms without having an elevated TSH (on the most recent test here - every other test prior to this one has shown an elevated level, but that apparently doesn't matter).  She decided I was depressed (god knows why - I still enjoy things, I just don't have the energy for them), so she prescribed anti-depressants and sent me to a psychologist.  The meds helped very fleetingly with a couple of the symptoms, but the effect has since gone away, and the psychologist has adamently said that it is not depression.

So, that's the start of my day. It'll take me until a few minutes before I have to start work (which is why I requested the super early appointment).

That's such good news.  You definitely need a few solid days of having a co-pilot.

I didn't sleep well last night and now I'm waiting for my Zyrtec to kick in before I claw my sinuses out of my face.

    You called it!

Is it teething?  Sophia is cutting her 2nd top front tooth and sweet baby Jesus it's a PITA!  She starts whining in the middle of the night but never wakes up.  I gave her Motrin before bed the other night and not a peep so I should probably do it again tonight.

Really?  Claire hasn't done this before but that could be it.  I'll bust out the Tylenol if she does it again tonight.  I'm also going to accost her gums this afternoon to see if I feel anything.

The top teeth seem to be the way worse than the bottom teeth for some reason.

  • I was up super late reading and am regretting it. About to head into work, then with any luck I'll be able to come home and take a nap.

  • Good Morning!

    Congrats on the job LL!

I'm glad you get to see your H Mango!

    I'm sorry C didn't STTN Gracie.

Today could prove to be interesting. Dr flew in from HI last night. Her flight didn't get in until 11 and she lives about 30 minutes from the airport. So she got in late and her body clock is 5 hours behind where we are. Her schedule is FULL today. I tried to schedule only nice people but still this could prove interesting. I think it might be a pump her with coffee and push her into the exam room kind of day.  I'm planning on working through lunch to get caught up on billing and then leaving at 2 to go get my hair cut. We shall see if that actually happens.

  • Early morning here as well! Little man has some outrageous allergy/sinus crap going on so he was up on and off all night. I finally gave up trying to go back to sleep around 6 when J got up to get ready for work.

I need to do some purging of the extra room (junk room) and decluttering today. We are in the process of waiting to find out what J's follow on will be after Korea and deciding if we should stay here, move to the follow on or if IJC and I should rent a house back near our families for the year.

Oh, and, thank the good Lord for coffee.

Did they give you any vague idea of when you'll find out about the follow on?
