Most Popular Cities, Report linked
This is interesting and has a good breakdown for those interested. Seattle and Portland come in #1 and #2 for most popular cities, while Detroit, Oakland, and Los Angeles are the least popular.
I am guessing the poll participants were judging the cities as visitors and not residents, but it surprises me how low LA is with all the stuff out there to see and how nice the weather is.

Probably because the people in LA are assses. Hardcore.
I went there once and was really surprised how angry and mean everybody is there.
I'd expect that in NY or something.. but not LA
Looks like a flawed report anyway - they questioned Houston & Dallas, but no ATX.
Fail.
Maybe we're finally getting over the bad impressions caused by The Wire.
I would venture a guess that it has something to do with corrupt politicians and dirty cops, but that's just a hunch.
I do not know anyone IRL who dislikes Chicago, I only hear high praise about it and it is a city on my list to visit as soon as I have an excuse for it! I really want to go there, for especially for the Taste of Chicago, if I could time it out right.
