Fired after donating kidney to boss
I saw this on TV when I was getting ready for work:

CN: Boss needed a kidney so an assistant of the company was part of a donating chain (she donated her kidney, so her boss could receive one). She returned to work 4 weeks earlier than her boss and 3 days later she went home because she wasn't feeling well. Her boss called her at home and told her she couldn't come and go as she pleased because people would think she's receiving special treatment.
The employee suffers from nerve damage in her leg (complications from the surgery) and when she hired a lawyer, the company moved her to a location 50 miles away before firing her for not meeting their expectations.
The only thanks she got from her boss was a short e-mail.

Well my immediate reaction is to side with the employee for unfair termination when they should have had more flexibility with someone recovering from a surgery, but I don't know all the details of her work performance. Still, that's very crappy for an employer to do! I hope she wins the case and her next employer will take notice at how loyal and unselfish this woman appears to be!
