Lily hasn't peed on the floor in a week!
Apparently she loves seclusion from the kittens. I'm so happy she is doing better but cautiously optimistic. The boys snuck in last night so I let them hang out for a bit and after a while when one got too close and she started to try to hide, I kicked them out.
I think we will start to do short stints with them interacting again and the moment she shows signs of stress, I'll move them out. I don't want to rush it but I also miss spending time with everyone. We'll see how it goes!
On another note... we started P90X in the mornings and the boys like to swarm me. There's nothing like push-ups with a cat under your face!
Re: Lily hasn't peed on the floor in a week!
Yay for no Lily pee on the floor!
All dogs have to be crated and the cats have to be gated out of the room if I want to do any sort of exercise routine inside the house. Nothing like having fluffy cat butt/tail in my face because all of our furs are attention wh*res.
I'm laughing at both of you and your animals' antics during attempted workouts. I've been a slacker and only completed Jillian once recently with Zoey around. The cats mostly stayed out of my way, and Mike kept Zoey outside for the most part (they came in briefly once while I was doing punches during a cardio segment, so no biggie). I've been too overwhelmed to attempt it with 3 dogs in the house at once right now!
And most importantly, YAY LILY!! I'm so glad you're finding out the issues and it's on its way to resolution! (And I totally understand missing spending time with everyone. We've been keeping the cats mostly secluded in the guest room while we dogsit so we don't completely terrify them and end up elimination issues again. I can't wait until we can let them roam the house again and snuggle up with us once F&C go home!)

YAY LILY!!! It sounds like you have a good game plan for transitioning her back into family time!
Oh, my cats are the worst when I'm trying to exercise. They'll lay down right next to where I'm working out and give me the "Aw, come on mom, you know you wanna just come cuddle with me instead of jumping around like a lunatic"
There was one part this morning where I was doing some kick boxing type stuff and Cooper just stared at me for several moments. I swear you could almost see him thinking "WTF are you doing mom? Werido."
Hooray for no pee!
The cats always thought my prenatal yoga DVD meant it was time for me to pet them. I wonder what they will think when I start doing Zumba on the wii in a couple weeks to shed the rest of my baby weight?
5 cats. 1 baby.
Rock on, Lily! Good to hear things are looking up.
Two of my cats hide when I do Zumba on the Wii. Apparently I am very frightening. Mocha, however, will sit on the ottoman and paw and chirp at me. I like to pretend that he's cheering me on. lol
Yay for no pee!
SO and I have been doing p90x2 (aka slowly kill me) and the canines and felines are ALWAYS locked out of the room during the workouts. Diesel, who likes to be physically attached to us to begin with, will flamboyantly dance in your face as you're sweating (dying) until you find yourself not only swearing at the TV, but also at his overly energized black doggie frame. The other day he sat in the recliner and watched (though I had to frequently remind him to 'stay' and 'not play with the bands'). The other two dogs typically remain hidden (probably due to fear that the lack of oxygen in the room will be the end of them).
