So in my blog tuesday pic, I said I wasn't totally happy with the wall our bed is on. It's the only full wall in the room.
I've always wanted to do a stencil, but by the time our renovation was over and we had finally gotten the contractors out of the house I was so drained.
I'm really liking this one as a possiblity:
Originally I was going to do the one on Jones Design Company, but just do one line, not the two.
Have anyone tried anything like this? Any tips/suggestions? I'm tempted to go with the true stencil only because I feel like I can't mess it up, it will just require me painting the wall again with the lighter color first and then stenciling the darker color on.
Re: Who has done a wall stencil? PIP
I've done the Jones Design Co. one and it turned out great. I think all stencils are time consuming but worth it. Here's how it turned out. I also did the single line.
Oh I really like that. It came out great!

I did one on my wall in my MB.
Sorry the pic is blurry. It is from my cell phone
It wasn't that bad and this one doesn't require you to paint the lighter color first.
Can you tell me where you got the stencil?

I was just trying to look it up. I am almost positive I got it from Royal Design Stencil but I don't see it. Maybe check her regular website not her etsy shop? Also look for a coupon code

ETA found the one I used

And my tips if you decide to do it. I used a stiple brush b/c the roller didn't work for me in the small edges. I also bought non permenant tacky spray and used that a LOT. Keep paper towel around to blot the stencil between each time you take it off the wall and put it back on.
I thought of this too....then I realized painting over a bad stencil job is probably easier than taking down wall paper. LOL.
We did one in our bedroom. We have some weird molding up at the top and we did this to make it look like it was supposed to be there.
We made the stencil ourselves to get the size perfect. It was such a PITA with the molding right there, I'll be honest. And it's so subtle in person that I hardly think it was worth it. A whole wall might be different.

I want to do one very similar to what you posted. Also, I LOVE your bedding! Can I ask where you bought it?
I thought this video made it pretty easy to understand:

I have a new nest name! Formerly known as 2bewed2rodney
The bedding is C&B Lindsey, unfortunately they don't sell it anymore.
