Different freezer recipes
I have the basics to make ahead before baby comes(like lasagna, enchiladas, meatballs, etc), anyone have anything good and different? Bonus points if it is easy and or toddler friendly...
Re: Different freezer recipes
Milano pasta from Joelen's was so good and came out of the froze well -its from her post of freezer friendly meals. Of Annie's Eats, her enchilladas were my favorite but I think you said you've already gotten something similar done.
Onceamonthmom.com has good ideas/suggestions for freezer cooking. There are also some recipes I've found through pinterest for crock pot freezer meals- haven't tried these yet but I think that is a great idea to have all your prep done and on cooking day all you need to do is throw your ingredients in the slow cooker.
Lurker...
I just got Fix, Freeze, Feast from the library last week and it has tons of great freezer meal recipes.
I often freeze stews, pasta sauces, and burrito fillings, so it isn't a complete freezer meal, because you still need to cook some sort of carb to go with it, but it's a heck of a lot faster than cooking a meal from scratch!
Here are some of my favorites:
bolognese sauce (comparison of 3 recipes)
shredded beef tacos
wine-braised beef
black bean squash burritos
lentil goat cheese burgers
lentil marinara
red beans and rice
red kidney bean curry
vegetable curry
