update on the great dress hemming of 2012
so I thought it was going fine
only to find that it wasn't
fortunately the error occurred on the inner-most layer of chiffon
now I am using a different approach and it seems to be working well
probably about 5 hours left assuming no major surprises happen.
I can only sew at the warehouse where I work bc I had to set up a whole area covered in white sheets because I am so scared to get it dirty with some unexpected kid explosion. So I'm going in at night and working on it.
I am so torn. She says she wants to pay me but I feel bad charging her. But then I remember that time in college when all my waitressing shifts got cut and I called and asked to borrow $20 and she said she didn't have it.
just can't let go of that one. lol

well, the middle ground on the payment thing is to say, 'sure' and then hold your breath and hope for payment. if she pays, great. if she doesn't, ok.
i wouldn't charge her....then i read the thing about the $20 and so i see why you are torn.
well- I'm thinking about it more and realizing that her plans to give me the dress after it's all said and done (re: she dies) means I won't accept payment.
