Sorry, I should clarify I'm not from the US and not aware of the symbolism behind that flag so I thought I couldn't really comment on that part.

as a white person form the south, i just... uuugghhh.... this is a hot debate and I think its just another tool to start controversy. The Dixie Outfitter tee shirts have been popular around here for as long as I can remember, (have little rebel flags on the front, some kind of redneck picture on back) and those are banned from my local school too.
sad to say, there are still men who claim to wear white sheets around here.
