Update from yesterday.

1. My coworker apologized again this morning, gave me a big hug, and said she was thinking about it all night. I really hope this makes her hesitate before saying it again.

2. After my panic yesterday, I think my ear is ok ( that's what I was freaking over)

Thanks for all the kind words and support:)

  • I bet she felt really dumb yesterday and that's why she was so defensive and I'm sure she'll think twice before using that phrase again.

I'm glad your ear is okay!

for number 2, it's already diagnosed. The person who would diagnose it or test it is an audiologist, so I've got that covered:) nothing would show up in testing though unless it become a full blown episode. And unfortunately, most of the symptoms are just subjectively perceived and not measurable.

Husbands should be like Kleenex: Soft, strong, and disposable.
  • I think sometimes people get defensive when they feel like a tool after being "reprimanded" for doing something wrong.  It's good you said something and that she thought about it.  Let's hope she never says it again!

I'm glad your ear is okay!
