So, I was looking through the shirts when I noticed a girl of about 16 shopping in the aisle across from me. This girl was one expert shopper. She quickly and efficiently whisked her way through every shirt on the rack, pausing to briefly hold one up, strike a pose with the shirt up against her body, compare it to her skin color, etc. She did all of this at top speed, in constant motion.
The catch? The entire time, she was BAWLING into her cell phone. I mean, ugly, loud sobbing, pleading with her boyfriend, demanding to know why he was breaking up with her. Like, "We were sooo good togetheeeeerrr! I loooove you!! Whyyyyy do you like herrrrrr betterrr?" Yet, all the while, never so much as a second's hitch in her expert shopping.
I did buy a really expensive-looking leather jacket for $6. Gotta love Goodwill!
Re: Overheard at Goodwill yesterday
That girl has her priorities in line.
Shopping
Staying with cell phone boy
Dignity
HAHAH!! Dude, I feel kind of bad for her that she doesn't think enough of herself that she wouldn't go around in public pleading with the dumbfook on the other end. Obviously he disagrees that you are "so good together". Just save yourself, and hang up on the dumb boy.
Also, great catch on the jacket.

Awesome.
omg I just choked on my tea laughing at this
haaaaaaa!
DnD, I'm glad you're back.
Stories like this just strengthen my resolve to raise my daughters to be hardasses.
hahahahahaha!! This exactly.
Of course, she totally went into the fitting room to try on her haul of clothing after hanging up and blowing her nose. I left before I could see what she ended up buying, but she had a whole cart-full of stuff that she'd managed to acquire while hysterically sobbing.
