After the holiday season, I began a fresh start on working out and eating healthy. My husband will not eat fruits or vegetables besides corn and potatoes. I've started eating better meals with more fish and fresh veggies and following portion sizes. I've been counting calories and going to the gym several times a week - I recently participated in my first 5K! I feel great and have lost 15 pounds since January! I'm not overweight but I just want to healthier and fit better in my clothes. I'm having a difficult time shedding these last 5 pounds! When I first started losing weight I used Hydroxicut to try and help me not feel so hungry in between meals. I loved it at first but then it started making me feel weird, light headed and shaky even when I ate my meals and light snacks. Does anyone know of any other options to help with losing these last 5 pounds? I'm going to Myrtle Beach for my best friends Bachelorette Party in 3 weeks and I'd really like to have reached my goal by then.
Re: Almost there!
If you are only concerned with the 5 lbs for the party I would eliminate carbs and sugars for the next three weeks, but you will probably gain the weight back when you add those things back to your diet.
It might help to post a sample of what you eat on a daily basis to see if folks have some suggestions.

I would ditch the slimfast shake and sugar free snacks for real foods. Maybe eggs and veggies for breakfast and a banana with almond better for a snack. I do better when I eat lots of protein and eliminate processed foods.
You may also be at a good weight for your body. I would bet if you cut out pasta and bread you would lose those pounds, but if you are at a healthy weight I wouldn't bother.
I'd be starving if I ate that little. How many calories do you eat a day? How tall are you, and what do you weigh?
IMO, I think you are probably already where your body is happy.

Ditto what everyone else said. Diet pills should never have been a part of the equation, but that's the past. And if you're looking for greater overall health, slim fast and fake sugar really aren't all that good for you. You want to be eating foods that can be grown and exist on their own (whole foods), not ones that can be made in a factory. I'm a lot bigger than you, but the diet you mentioned wouldn't be nearly enough for me.
Why is it that you want to lose 5 more lbs? Is it because there are specific areas that you still want to slim down? Or is it just because of a number on the scale? If you are satisfied with the overall look and health of your body, then why does some random number even matter?
