Great shepherd's pie recipe? Having a hard time finding one
I've now tried several shepherd's pie recipes and still haven't hit on one I like a lot. I've tried some from allrecipes.com. I was thinking of trying a Jamie Oliver version. A British friend recommends a Delia Smith recipe, but it doesn't look all that appealing to me.
I'm looking for one with lamb, that has veggies incorporated as well as spices like thyme and cinnamon. I love to make one dish meals so I am looking for a more well-rounded recipe. Any suggestions?

This is my go to recipe:

It does not have thyme and/or cinnamon, but you could certainly add that to wither the gravy or ground meat mixture. I have used both lamb and beef and both turned out well.
I have made this one a few times and has always turned out great.

It does not have cinnamon or thyme but I do not see why you could not add it.
