In my quest for a new sofa, im finding that im not too keen the reclining sofa-look. We currently have a couch that doesnt recline, and we do find that it sometimes bothers us to not be able to kick back and watch tv/relax. However, i am finding a lot of basic sofas that i like, and was thinking about maybe having an ottoman instead of a coffee table, so that we have a place to prop our feet if we feel like it?
Opinions?
Re: Living Room/Sofa Help
If you have adequate side tables, I think an ottoman would be just fine. Great for extra seating or a place to prop up your feet. But I could see it being a problem if it didnt had a hard surface for cups like PP mentioned.
Or you could get 1 or two of those cube type ottomans and keep them off somewhere if you have the room and bring them out when you want to relax.
I prefer these options to reclining sofas.
