On a positive note..

as long as I'm wearing clothes, I look like my old self again + a great boob job. Plus I got by with only a couple of stretch marks on my boob, so even without clothes, things aren't too bad.

I tried to get my old jeans on this morning, and my hips are too wide, though. Um.. do those go back to normal? I'm thinking no, huh? lol

    This is awesome!

But yeah. Your hips may never return to what they were before.

    :-/

    I like privacy. A lot.
  • Yes your hips can return to normal. Mine did. It will take time (like 4-6 mo.)
  • Duuurty lurker (who also recommended the RNP in the 1st post) coming out to say that it's possible if you continue to BF that you could hit a plateau for a little while - but don't let it discourage you. Things can def go back into place but your body can hold onto extra fat to make milk. If that happens, it can still come off after you stop nursing.

  • I knew you would bounce back right away. The bigger boobs are fun. I think your hips can go back to normal

You don't have to tell us you're a lurker with every post here.  Just post.  We don't bite.

Well, maybe we bite a little.  But mine are only playful love bites.

  • When I had my daughter my Co-worker told me my hips would never go back.

  • Mine haven't :(

But then again, I'm still fat. But I have little faith in the last 10 pounds shifting shiit back.

Yay! You got there very fast :-) One week pp I think I still weighed more than I did when I went into the hospital.

For me, they did.  All my prepregnancy jeans are too wide now (since I lost some weight too). I don't want to buy too many new things, though, since we are trying again soon.
  • Man, I am so jealous.  I was still so blated a week after having a baby that I barely fit in my MATERNITY clothes.  Some hot b*tches are just lucky! :-)

Hehe, I know. This board is a very close knit board and it feels weird posting here, even to try to be helpful!

  • Mine haven't gone back to normal yet.  DS is 8 months.  I'm not sure if I should give up...

And good job being that back to normal after a week.  A week after DS was born, I was retaining so much water I weighed like 10lbs more than when I gave birth to my 8lb 4 oz kiddo!

  • That's amazing, Tamb!  I haven't tried non-maternity and non-comfy pants yet but a week out I was definitely still crazy bloated.

Clothes do help you feel more normal, haha.

My hips didn't go back but many of my friends said theirs did.

  • I don't think my hips are ever going to go back after baby #2. I recovered pretty nicely after DD1, though.
