Still looking for a filing cabinet!

I cannot believe that Im having such a hard time finding a white wood filing cabinet that is not $300!

I wish I had the extra 3" I need in order to get the ones I found with Home Decorators, but dang, there is NOTHING else out there!

I thought about that and its definitely still an option that I may resort to at some point. I was seeeeeriously hoping to avoid it because I've about had it with painting furniture

I'm taking your "not $300" statement way too literally but I have Pottery Barn's Bedford desk that has a filing cabinet that can come separately. It comes in a pretty white and is $279. I mean with taxes you're going to hit that $300. But it is worth it's price! Sorry I'm not super helpful.

Yeah, I looked at the Bedford cabinet and if I remember correctly, besides the fact it was almost $300, it was still 2" too wide to fit where I need it to go. And because I need 2 of them, there is no way I want to spend $300 each when the one i originally fell in love with was great at $79 each.

I looked. There are only a couple metal dingy looking ones and what few listings there were, didnt have 2 of them. I need 2

And I know you said you prefer not to paint, but Walmart has some decent options:

one: $59

two: $99

three $64.99

four $69.82

I dig the first and last ones, personally.

Did you try an unfinished wood furniture store in your area? They actually do sell some furniture that comes finished. I ended up doing this for my office and it was way less expensive than anything I found in stores, plus it's quality wood. I ordered a maple credenza with filing on each side and shelves in the middle - they had my dimensions and the manufacturer offered white, chocolate, and a medium stain. It's worth checking out.
