**tamb**

I didn't read thru all of the posts in your post about anxiety but I wanted to add that I EBF and we used a mini cosleeper that attached to our bed for easy checks to make sure she was breathing-literally an arms reach away (it was $149) and as for SIDS peace of mind- the best $120 I've spent on baby stuff yet was the Snuza. It clips to the top of the diaper and if they stop breathing for 15 seconds it vibrates, if no movement after another 5 seconds it sends an audible alarm. I use it every night Bc even with a video monitor I can't tell if she's breathing in her crib.( we just transitioned her to the crib)

Sorry if people have already made these recommendations already but like I said I didn't read all the posts

Re: **tamb**

  • I got that cosleeper first, and mine was defective! The bar at the top wouldn't lock.  We returned it for a Graco bassinet/PnP thing b/c we'd ordered the mini convertible and our BRU doesnt carry  it.
  • oh, and someone did mention the snuza in my post. That was the first I'd heard of it. I sort of feel like that (or the angelcare) would indulge my anxiety when what I really need to do is just chill out.

this is why i didn't get them.  when i realized i was staring too hard, too often at the video monitor to see if she was breathing, i turned that off for a couple days too.  the not knowing somewhat unexpectedly gave me more confidence.

fwiw, you sound to me like a regular old new mother with regular old new mother concerns.

    kiss it, nest.
  • thanks. :) I still can't believe I have a baby. Like... whut? lol
