Had a Reiki session tonight.
I had heard of it before but I thought it was a form of massage, but it's not and she didn't put her hands on me at all. It was interesting. I focused on my breathing and prayed for healing. At one point towards the end I could feel energy from my head to my fingertips. In my meditative state I felt like I was floating a little.
She said she felt a lot of energy around my head area and my stomach but it makes sense around my stomach because there is life there. Anyways she's a friend of my brothers and I don't think she does it that often but I left feeling my head pretty clear and felt more aware.

I'm certified for Reiki Level One...it's pretty neat how you can feel the energy moving in your own body (and when you are offering it, moving from your body to another person's). I think it's a nice supplement to a chiropactor, massage, physical therapy, etc. I do put my hands on people, but I know not everyone does. I don't practice reiki on its own though, I use it when I'm adjusting people while teaching yoga classes.
Are you going to go back?
I'd love to know more about it so I'll be reading up on it tonight, but I don't know if I'll be seeing her again anytime soon. She lives far but she came to my mothers house earlier.
I would love to do that but they charge $100 an hour here.

Holy crap for $100 an hour, I will do A LOT of stuff for you that is not reiki.
I know right? I could get a massage AND a happy ending for that.
Well, in theory. I don't actually know this.
Yeah I'd rather have a massage too...especially because there are plenty of massage therapists who also have some reiki training.
