Help with wall art please!
My friend has a bedding set she purchased for her nursery. It has a pattern on it, sort of like tall grasses, flowers. She wants to recreate that pattern around the baseboards in her nursery. We talked about scanning it, printing it large format, and somehow using that print to transfer the design to the wall. But are there any other options? Looks like having a stencil made by someone online may not work, due to copyright issues. She wants to have it be maybe 20" tall, so we aren't sure it could be printed by a cricut. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
Re: Help with wall art please!
I bought a projector from Hobby Lobby that I use for these types of projects. It cost $99 but I used a coupon to get it for $60. Then take a pic of the pattern, print it and use the print in the projector to display the image on the wall. Trace it and paint. I used the projector for several projects around the house as it has come in pretty handy. Other than that, I've got no other ideas.
Could you contact someone that does larger vinyl to give you the whole thing, so you get the design and the negative to use as a stencil?
I know of http://www.etsy.com/shop/vinylvineyard through her blog. I know she's done some custom work.
