  • That sounds good, actually.  Or a Cinnabon. I'll take one of those if someone is dishing out food.
Always be yourself. Unless you suck.
  • Mmmmm with powdered sugar and warm syrup. Ill make it if I can hold that sweet little dumpling of yours while you eat.

  • mmm

I had French toast once while I was in the hospital, and now I just want more. I always forget about French toast for some reason. I'm going to get some bread and eggs today so I can have some tomorrow morning.

  • I'm not a fan of deep fried anything but this one diner near me makes deep fried french toast.  It is so unbelievably  awesome

  • Anytime I ask my H for something like this the conversation goes as follows:

Me: Hey babe, would you please make me some french toast?

Him: "Poof! You are french toast!" He also gestures like a wizard when as he does it.

  • I LOVE FRENCH TOAST.  LOVE.

I also make a savory french toast using rosemary asiago foccacia with carmelized onions on top.  YUMMMMMMMY.  (No syrup!)  It's really really tasty.

  • I wanted French toast this morning, took out my griddle and everything but then I realized I had no milk. I was so dissapointed.

  • I really wish I could. I make a great french toast casserole (same idea, just bread cubes and baked so it's really fluffy - challah or brioche, grand marnier, really good). If I were local you'd have some today (and I'd see that pretty baby from across the room when I dropped it off ;-)

I've made it without milk before.  It worked marvelously!  It was much egg-ier of course but I liked it that way.

  • French toast with challah sounds amazing. I remember the first time I had challah. I was like "what is this delicious bread??"
  • I love French toast. We make it with egg, cream, vanilla and cinnamon, and then put powdered sugar and maple syrup on it, using challah.

Sigh. Haven't had it in four years.

SO SINGS MY SOUL *WHAM!* MY SAVIOR GOD TO THEE *WHAM!* HOW GREAT THOU ART *WHAM!* HOW GREAT THOU ART *WHAM!*

Challah French toast is life-changing.  If it wouldn't get stale, I'd leave my clothing behind and bring home a suitcase full of the challah from this bakery down the street.  They put vanilla in it and it's fluffy and amazing and even better than my mom's.
