Clicky: Do you think metal frame beds are out of style?
Like brass beds, wrought iron beds, etc.... I am just browsing online for bed frames for our guest room. I like other styles better and probably wont get one, but wondered if people thought they were out of style?

I feel like brass is making a small comeback, but it's NMS.

I don't think it's as much in and out of style as much as it is style specific.
If you have a shabby chic/antiquey/more country style they fit right in.
Is it the trend of the week...probably not... but was it ever really?

lol. I'm pretty sure it was the trend when my bed was made...in the late 1800s. And again in the 1970s, when we got the bed frame from my grandmother, and when my brother bought a newer style brass bed.
I don't even feel like the beds are necessarily style specific. Besides our simple frame that has fit with every style we've thrown at it, from rustic antique to contemporary/modern, we have another that is more ornate that also seems to be a bit of a chameleon. Maybe it wouldn't fit in a super modern space, but I think mixing eras and styles can balance a space so it works for me.
