3 races in 6 days is a bad plan, right?
Let me preface this by saying, that I am not a competitive runner AT ALL! I just really enjoy doing races, and really my only goal is self-improvement.
Anyway, without paying attention to dates, I registered for a 5K on a Wednesday and a Sprint Triathlon that Saturday. And now, I just found out that a local race that I do with my family is the Sunday before, also a 5K. Would you do this?
Like I said, I'm not fast, I'm not competitive, but I do give it my all when I go out for these races. The Wednesday and Saturday races I'll still do no matter what since I already paid for them, but the Sunday race is still up in the air.
Ridley Run 3.1 - 4/9/11 - 34:24 - 1st race evah!
Kelly Monaghan's 5K - 5/15/11 - 3rd Place in AG
Walk the Talk 5K - 5/18/11 - 31:12 PR
Ridley Run 3.1 - 4/14/12 - 1st race of the year, 32:45

~2012 Races~
American Birkenbeiner - 50K Ski 3:19:00
Davenport St. Patrick's Day Fun Run - 5K 21:58
UIVA Warrior Challenge - 5K 22:06
Iowa City River Run - 10K 44:37 PR!
Green Bay Marathon 5/20/12
I would do them. However, I would probably take the Wednesday 5k pretty easy. I assume the sprint is the *main* race that you want to do well in, so I wouldn't want to wear myself out before that one.
I'm doing 3, possibly 4 races in 8 days starting Sunday though, so maybe I'm not a good one to answer this
THIS
If you aren't planning on running super hard in any of them, then do it.
I assume you probably train more than 3 days a week - consider them as training runs or whatever.
