We had a tenant die last night (car accident).

Even though we certainly weren't friends, I feel a lot of sadness....he was a singly guy in his 50's with a history of mental health issues. He had an adult son, and an ex-wife but I know very little about them. I think the police are still trying to track them down.

Its very weird - aside from figuring out legally what to do with his stuff, etc. I feel quite strange going into the unit. A lot of unfinished business. 

Ugh, I'm sorry.  That really sucks.  I had to help the mother of my best friend from law school pack up her apartment after she randomly had a stroke three days before our first final and it was very weird.

It really is the strangest sensation. There's "to do" lists, and reminders, his CAT, songs he was writing....he was very much 'in the middle' of things. As opposed to someone older perhaps who has already planned for their death.

I'm going to be working on rehoming the cat shortly. That will be fun.

Are there no family or friends of his that you could ask to help (and by help I mean do most of it)?

Good luck with it.  Hopefully you can get it taken care of quickly, since you have other things to be getting ready for now.

After I lost my baby the hospital sent me home with some big diaper-sized pads. I brought them home, plopped them down in a corner and haven't looked at them again.

Today I come home to the whole lot of them ripped up into little pieces on my bed (with some shredded bills and paycheck stubs sprinkled on top) because I forgot to close my bedroom door when I left and the dog found them.

I am so pleased.  There's a horrible student who has been nothing but mean and toxic since she came, and finally she's suspended today for punching a girl in the face.  She'd been coddled since she came for some reason, so I am glad to finally have a few days without her.  It would've been more, but we have testing next wk.

The strange part is that she punched a kid yesterday and didn't get immediately suspended...

I get irrationally annoyed at gas pumps that don't say "thank you" when you've finished your transaction.  I'm saving you money by not printing out a receipt, and you can't even thank me?  Fuuuck you, gas pump.

I am feeling super anxious/on edge tonight for no good reason.  It makes me start worrying that my meds will stop working again, which then makes my anxiety worse, so it starts feeling like a self-fufilling prophecy.

I had a meeting tonight and took the girls with me.  So DH had 3 hours to himself, and couldn't clean the MFing kitchen?  Not.cool.
