Dinnerware coordinating with kitchen paint color?
We just got plain eggplant and light green dishes and I am looking to paint our white kitchen. Should I coordinate the color with the dishes? Currently our placemats are brown/teal and our table is a faux granite look. I am trying to get away from all the beige and tan. I originally wanted to do a morocan orange for a splash but I think it would look odd with our dinnerware. Sorry for the rambling...TIA
Re: Dinnerware coordinating with kitchen paint color?
I think orange would look good with the other colors.
Something like this rather literal example....
do you typically ahve your dinnerware out on your table when you're not eating? If not, I say who cares if it coordinates.
If you do, then sure. I think orange would work
We have something of this sort for our cabinets, so our dishes are always on display
I just gave away all my dinnerware from my old home because it was too Tuscan in design which just doesn't coordinate with my new kitchen.
Especially if your dishes are on display like that, I would say to paint in a color that is complimentary.
