I had my first trip to a Teavana store this past weekend and I love it! This could be a problem because I am now spoiled! I didn't realize what all was involved with difference kinds of tea. They sure blow Celestial Seasonings out of the water! I am in love with the Lavender Dreams tea. I bought a glass teapot and warmer while I was there also because I really want to try the blooming teas they have too, so pretty and unique. Since the tea is on the pricey side (I was a little surprised at first, to be honest, but so worth it) I don't want to mess it up when I make it. I have always just heated water up to a boil on the stove and poured it over the tea bag, but not this stuff. I was surprised to see the variety of electric kettles online. I decided to do some research after seeing the Breville One Touch tea maker. It is really something. I discovered last night how irritating it was to come to the perfect temperature on the stove with my conventional tea kettle, so I am going to have to do something. There are a number of options out there. I don't mind using a tea pot and steeping it on a timer myself, especially since I already have a few teapots, but I can definitely see the benefits of this Breville tea maker. Would I be better off just saving up and getting it or would something like the Breville Variable Temperature Kettle or something similar work for me just as well? What do you recommend?
Also, my grandfather drinks Tetley Tea British Blend, which I also like. But now that I have tried some higher quality teas, what are some similar tea options (except better) at Teavana and what other teas do you recommend?
One more question. The guy at the store mentioned that the loose tea can be used 2-3 more times after the initial brewing. How do you store it afterward to reuse?
TIA!
Re: Teavana fans please come in
not a tea expert...I think a lot of your questions could be answered by the Teavana people as they are tea fanatics!
When we reuse tea, we just stick whatever the tea was in (the ball, the glass insert dish, whatever) in the fridge and just reuse it in the same container.
I love Teavana and it will spoil you! I use a teaball when making an entire pot. I have a spoon with a steeper on the end of it for making individual cups, and I bought an insulated mug with a steeping basket in it for on the go.
My absolute favorite is the sour cherry tea-it is amazing! I also like the vanilla black tea-so yummy.
Best purchase ever. Avid tea fan. I spend $600 a pop when I go.

My favorite. Can't wait to not be pregnant so I can enjoy this again!
Thanks for the product suggestion. Another Nestie or two recommended this same one I think. I will have to check it out. $600.00 a pop each visit, I am so jealous (in a good way)
! What do you get? What teas are your favorite? I can't wait to go back. The guy at the store I went to discouraged me from ordering online and ordering at his store over the phone. He said something about the online orders coming from Georgia and the temperature changes from GA to where I live (in the Midwest) wasn't good for the tea and the quality wasn't as good (regarding freshness) as getting it from his store (although I think it may have had more to do with getting the business/commission for himself and his store than tea quality). Still, I am so new to the store that being there in person to sample and smell everything helps me decide what I like.
