storing frye boots for spring/summer?
I bought a pair of melissa button frye boots this fall and I want to store them for the winter. Do I clean them first? Take them to a cobbler (the sole of the boot at the toe is a little chipped)? Do I stuff them with anything so they keep their shape? I've never really taken care of boots from previous years (usually just $100 pairs, nothing great), but I do plan on keeping the frye boots for a few years.
Re: storing frye boots for spring/summer?
I would clean and repair them before storing, that way they're ready to roll when you want to wear them again. Boot hangers are great if you have the room for them, but it's also fine to stuff some paper in the shafts to help them stay upright and keep their shape.
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
Thanks! I'm guessing I could just use regular tissue paper to stuff them.
