5 oz in two days! Go Joanna, go!
We kept having to go back for weight checks because she hadn't gotten back to her birth weight yet. Well, now she has surpassed it! Granted, she just ate 3 oz before the appointment.. but then she also unloaded and then peed all over the table and herself while I was changing her diaper, so it probably evened out. lol
Also, her cord stump fell off at the pedi's office, and he immediately grabbed it and threw it away, so I didn't even have a chance to save it. Which is good because I probably would have.
Re: 5 oz in two days! Go Joanna, go!
Yay! Go go go Joanna!
She is seriously adorable.
Yay!
Lol.
Ew.
I'm glad your doctor helped save you from yourself because no one needs old body parts in their house. It's such a relief when they get back to their birth weight!
I'm picturing that episode of sex and the city where the cord stump falls off and the cat is carrying it around. Miranda is all "Help! It's gross!"
Yay Joanna...you go shawty!
Congratulations! She is SO adorable!! I realist I'm late but that picture is just so cute!
That is all I could picture every time I looked at my son's cord stump...I made my husband do the majority of the diaper changes until it was off because I was so afraid it would happen when I was doing it and one of my cats would grab it. Ick.

Good Job on the weight gain, Joanna. How big is she now?
The NICU threw away both my girls cord stumps, I probably would have saved it too.
lol, mama.
wander - her birth weight was 7lbs 3 oz, and she had been hovering at 7. Now she's 7 lbs 5 oz.
It took Julia a while to get back to her birth weight, maybe 11 or 12 days, I can't remember exactly. They lose a lot of fluids after their born, just like we do.
