Re: do I need a zipper foot?
Are you positive you don't have one? They generally come with the machine. But, yes, a zipper foot is pretty important for attaching zippers with a home sewing machine. Universal feet and walking feet lack the groove in the middle that let's the needle get close to the zipper.
ETA: Sometimes other specialty feet work on zippers- binding attachment feet, cording attachment feet- what else do you have?
The only feet that I know I have are my standard foot, a walking foot, and a free-motion foot. I'll have to check again to make sure my machine didn't come with a zipper foot, otherwise I'll head to the store tomorrow and see if I can get one.
Check that out, it DID come with a zipper foot!!! so sorry ladies, thanks so much.
now I just need to figure out how to use it.
