The family that hired our nanny backed out tonight

Their daughter has some medical problems and I think they decided they wanted to go with someone with medical training. I'm trying to be understanding but I'm annoyed because maybe they should have thought of that before they HIRED HER 8 days ago? She called me tonight to tell me they had un-hired her and she was almost in tears - the woman talks really fast and our nanny thought they didn't want her anymore because they couldn't understand her "African accent". 
So now I'm re-posting her info on local boards and hoping she can find something else in short order. My last day of work is next week.

Oh no! You really like her right? Whichever family ends up with her will be lucky to get her.
I did write her a glowing recommendation and her paper towel usage is well within the normal range. She also doesn't randomly take showers in the middle of the day and have the kids sit on the bathroom floor while she does so, like the old nanny apparently used to do. Man, she sucked.
In any case, current nanny is terrific in every way and she had turned down several other interviews because she'd accepted this job. Of course, those people have probably hired other people by now, but I'm sure she'll find something better. I'm hoping she can find a 4 day a week job so we can keep her for 1 day.
