I've been buying some things to keep around at my house for when J's 8 year old comes to visit. Just about everything came from thrift stores, dollar stores, or the dollar bins/clearance racks at Walmart and Target. I got
4 games (Life, Outburst Jr, Monopoly Jr, and Scrabble Jr)
3 coloring books
8 DVDs (and 2 are interactive games)
Bubbles and sidewalk chalk
A snowcone machine
And I spent a grand total of $40.
The games were $1 each. Seriously. And the DVDs from $1-3.
And I'm irrationally excited about the snowcone machine. I had one as a kid, and can still eat snowcones until my brain freezes solid. lol
Re: I freaking love thrift stores!
Now I really want to go see if the thrift store by my house has a snow cone maker....
That's an awesome deal! I
thrift stores too.
They do! It looks different now, though. I managed to find an old school one at a consignment sale and had to buy it - for some reason I wasn't going to be happy unless I had the crank that could shave off a layer of your finger if you aren't careful!
