Natalie got a time-out right before dinner for throwing one of her toys in anger. She absolutely hates time outs, and whenever she gets them, she ends up being WAY more pist afterwards than she was when we gave it to her. But they're effective, she rarely gets them, so we just brace ourselves for the inevitable aftermath.
So she's standing there, on the rug, screaming her head off, H and I are ignoring her, and she just starts to scream. no words, just "aaaaaaaaaarrrrrgg!" To which, Elizabeth (who was standing at the baby gate watching this all go down, and seemed to be mildly amused by the whole thing) roars back. Yes, my kid roars. And it is *hilarious.* She thinks Natalie's roaring, so she joins in the fun. "oooooooooaaarrrrr!" "OOOOOOOAAAARRR!"
Needless to say, Natalie did not think highly of her baby sister essentially mocking her cries of outrage in time out.
Re: Got a glimpse into my future last night
Yikes lol. My cousin has a two year old and a ten month old. The baby finds his big brother very humorous and funny.....I think he is taking notes. Lol
LOL!
Sophia is also very good at doing the exact thing that will throw her sister's rage over the edge. I want to die laughing most of the time. Yesterday Anna was thorwing a major fit over the fact that nobody loves her and she is never allowed to do anything, and as she was sitting there screaming, Sophia went next to her, patted her back and said "dodo, dodo". (dodo is french for sleep)
When my 2 1/2 year old daughter starts yelling because she is pissed and not getting her way. My four month old busts out belly laughing at her sister distress.
Yeah they are going to fun teenagers....... O-0
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be misquoted and used against you. My Blog
YES.
She lost her trip to get frozen yogurt last night because of that, and when we told her it was "I'M NOT HAVING A TANTRUM! I'M CALM! LET ME GO TO GET ICE CREEEAAAAAMMM!!!!!!!" Immediately followed by an eerily calm voice of "mommy, I'm calm now, can I please get my ice cream trip back?"
Yeah, no way kid.
eta: she lost the trip because she was throwing shoes while in time-out. Not because she was screaming in time out. Scream your head off, but if you start throwing stuff, well, no ice cream for you.
