plants in kitchen

Has anyone ever done anything like this? I love this look. We have two large windows in our kitchen that face a somewhat busy street which has northern light. So it wouldn't be the best window for plants and I was thinking of maybe doing just plants on the top and cafe curtains on the bottom for privacy, but I still want it to look modern. Any thoughts?

As someone who makes a living caring for plants, this looks like a set up photograph. It would be very impractical IRL to maintain this. All those tiny pots... taking them all down one by one to examine them and check the soil moisture two or three times a week (maybe more), then put them all back without making a mess... this would just be a nightmare to me. I don't have the time or patience.

  • I think that container on the sill would be it for me. I currently have a tray with small pots on my kitchen window sill.  That way I can lower the shade just about at plant height. It looks very modern but it's easy to maintain.
