I want to hang a curtain rod in a room with an uneven wall. Immediately to the left of the window, the wall juts back about three inches, so the bracket for the curtain rod will be three inches more "forward" on the right than on the left. Is there such a thing as an extend-able bracket? I can't figure out how to hand the curtain rod evenly with this strange wall!

Re: How do I hang a curtain rod on this wall?
What you could do would be to drill a small block of wood into the wall stud first. Then, drill the curtin rod "arm" into that piece of wood. The wood would bring your rod arms up together and then you could just paint the wood to match the wall. It would be hidden behind the drapery (mostly).
You would need to find a stud though to go into. If you only drilled into the drywall, it wouldn't support the weight of the wood and the rod, etc.
