Whatthemotherfuck

I just finished my half marathon this morning. Dh and had a bite to eat then we were going to take a nap. Until my friend found bedbugs in her room at our hotel. I asked to be moved to another hotel and my money back, since the hotel had a money back guarantee They refused and refused to even give us a discount to match the rate wee reserved at this hotel I'm annoyed and skeeved out.

Re: Whatthemotherfuck

  • Ewwww, what did they say about the money-back guarantee? It doesn't count for bedbugs?!?!?
  • Ugh. I seriously check the bed at any hotel I stay at to make sure there aren't signs of these fvckkers.

I would tell the hotel, "Fine. Don't refund my money. I'm going to post on Trip Advisor and Yelp and any other site I can find about the bed bugs. Good luck with your business!"

It only applies if the bugs are on YOUR room.

Relocate a few bedbugs from her room to yours. Problem solved.

For real! What a jacked up customer service experience. Sorry you're dealing with a jerky hotel!

  • Congrats on your half!

Call your cc co and dispute the charges if the hotel won't budge. Do you have any bites?

  • i would park my ass in the lobby for an hour or two telling everyone that walked by that bed bugs were found in one of the rooms.  i would only agree to leave once they reimbursed my money.  hahah

  • Take pictures and video.  And then show them to the front desk manager.  Proof is what gets a refund.

This, and I would put them on blast on FB and Twitter.  I don't even have a Twitter account, but I would set one up for this level of corporate fcvukery.  Yes, I would.

  • Post the name of the hotel you were at.  On Facebook, Twitter, here, everywhere. I'd go into full scale war.

Because they are. I would be causing such a major scene it wouldn't even be funny. Ditto all previous suggestions.

  • Make sure you also send the info out to everyone who participated in the marathon.  They'll know not to go to that hotel next year.

  • Out was the Hampton Inn Coconut Grove. O reviewed out on google places and I'll be sending it out everywhere and stopping charges when I get home.

  • That's such bullsh.it.

I once complained about smaller scale things like an apparently dirty duvet cover, and they reimbursed my entire stay - including drinks I charged to my room.

At a minimum you need your money back.
