This kid who lives with me now?

Is awesome. I totally attached to him right away, and he likes me best too. Smart boy. Edith is a kickASS big sister and she is adorable with him...even when she's hugging his neck. I'm all blissful and shiit.

  • I think my laptop thinks I died or something. I've been like 90% offline for days. It's weird. I have a cute pic of FrEdith that I'll post tomorrow.

  • Also, when I call him "mommy's boykins" and make kissy noises at him, he smiles. Even if he's half asleep. And the back of his neck is ticklish Smile

GOOSEBUMPS!  And I don't even really care for babies all that much!  Stick out tongue

I'm thrilled for you!  Just think of all the fun stuff you get to discover about him as he grows up as part of your family!!!!!

I forget if you've mentioned before - did you do an open adoption or was that the one time you met the BM and that's it.  ?  Did she see Freddie at all after he was born?  How soon did he go to the agency?  What happened during the 2 months he was born and he came home?

Sorry.  I'm full of questions!!!  :-)

  • We're going to do an open adoption...we're really pro openness, which is one of the reasons the bmom and her sister liked us so much! She's seen Freddie a few times after he was born, and she saw him at placement...he came to our agency at around three days. He was the only baby there for a while and a couple of the nurses were totally teary when he left. He's SUPER social and he always liked being in the middle of their rocming chair circle so he could look at everyone, so he was a favorite :)

  • Mostly. He's been waking up at 2:30 for a diaper change, and then going right back down.

    Any improvement on your end?

L is typically asleep by 9:30 these days and isn't up for hours at night (right now), but is still up at least once per night.
