Aw, you're sweet for asking! It was a LOT of fun.
The hotel was absolutely fine. It wasn't fancy, but it was clean and quiet, and the bed was really comfortable. It was also right near the subway station and in my old neighborhood, so I was really familiar with what was around.
Friday night was dinner at a French restaurant with a good friend of mine from College. The guys had met once before, but only briefly, and they got along very well. After that was over, we wandered back uptown from the Times Square area, stopping in a few bars on the way.
Saturday was the start of the comic festival, and it was extra awesome. There were some really good panels and workshops, and a ton of exhibitors. He had a blast, and I also really enjoyed myself -- which was nice, because that is far more his world than mine. After that ended for the day, we wandered downtown and did a lot of shopping. It's grossly unfair that he found more stuff than I did, but whatever. More drinks, more food, more fun.
Sunday was more festival stuff, also excellent. He was able to get some things signed by artists he really admired, and was stoked about that.
We got back around 9:30 last night. My feet and calves are KILLING me from all the walking. It was totally worth it, though. We did a whole lot in a little time, and it actually feels like I've been away for far longer than just a weekend.
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

Yay, it sounds like it was an amazing weekend! I'm glad you guys had such a good time.
And, um, how was the pooping situation? I'm kind of curious about this for myself, in the future, lol.
The pooping was fine!
As predicted, I woke up earlier than he did both mornings, and I took care of business and then jumped in the shower. He was still asleep by the time I was out of the bathroom. Crisis averted! This reverse-schedule thing might actually be working in my favor....
