Why do some guys test you?
My friend invited the guy that was interested in me over to help paint my home on Saturday. We had a lot of fun and he ended up staying twice as long as he planned and almost didn't want to leave.
But out of nowhere, he spontaneously asked me 3 questions. He wasn't serious and says them in a joking manner with the questions but you can tell he was gauging my reaction as if he was testing me. I think I was more shocked at the moment because I didn't know him well so I didn't really come back with witty things to say. He has been through a really bad divorce in the past and he knows I just went through mine and hence the testing.
But I still don't get it or understand what he was looking for...
First, he asked "Will you marry me" (I think hearing the word "marry" when it was just days after my official divorce date was a turn off lol) when others were thanking for me for the meals at a restaurant during our break. Later it was ?Can I kiss you" and then "Let's have sex tonight". Mind you, these questions were spontaneously and bluntly asked among the three of us, yes right in front of my best friend.
I've seen this guy around a lot but yesterday was spending time getting to know each other beyond the surface.
