They were under the impression that I'd already been through a company interview to get to that stage. I hadn't. (Here is where my connections got me preferntial treatment).
They asked where else I'd applied or been interviewed. (This was weird) When I explained I hadn't applied anywhere else because I was looking for a more senior position it was the wrong thing to say. This will be an entry level gig.
Damn.
A lot of it was positive, a few parts were awkward. Who knows.
In other news, MrJJ is lunching with the son of the person heading this France gig he is up for. We should have news soon.
Re: my interview was meh.
that's too bad. but i find company's can gauge your level and rarely hire a senior person for an entry level gig no matter how bad you need a job. so, don't feel bad about giving the wrong answer.
i hope the france thing works out b/c that would be amazing!
It's just hard to disguise what I used to do (read wicked-awesome underpaid job). And explaining why I left (no $$$$ in the arts) is tricky. I defer to -not a lot of room for growth in the small arts community....... and hope they can infer what I mean.
Maybe it was meh because the universe knows you will get to go to France and you wouldn't be able to take the job anyways??
I bet it went better than you thought it did.
Also, I sort of don't want the job so I can go to France if D gets chosen.
If you get to move to France I am going to die of jealousy!
Sorry about the interview...I hate interviews.
