This gave me warm fuzzies:

"This A list actor personally sends out thank you letters to fans who send him homemade gifts. He doesn?t get to all of them, but he attempts to be sincere in his handwritten letters. This isn?t his only positive attribute. He often gives anonymously to charity and even went to personally visit a few fans who were battling life threatening situations. His only stipulation?no media cameras or press. Some might think he is mad for keeping positive press to himself, but he is baffled by their abuse of fellow human beings for personal gain."
People are saying it's Johnny Depp, which makes me love him even more.
Re: awesome blind gossip
Hm. Yeah, I would think mad could refer to the Mad Hatter (which I see was already posted in the comments), but I am terrible at these.
There is a rumor that Johnny Depp just bought a house in my state. We were joking about it at work last night, and I told a nurse who lives closer to that area that if she ever sees him to send him my love. Another nurse looked at me with a totally straight face and said, "You know, you and Johnny Depp would be good together. I hear he's single now." It was hysterical, because she said it as if she was talking about some random guy who I would actually have a chance with.
I could have kissed her.
Whenever I hear Chesh's IRL name I think "Scissor" --MontereyBride
I guessed John Hamm from Mad men.
I cried my eyes out when CDAN did the blind reveal on sat. about a celeb buying a smart house for a soldier who lost his limbs.

Are you from Wisconsin?
That is really cool. But WTMF is up with this reply on the post!? How does this person know that? And who cares?
Exactly.
When the reporter Tim Russert passed away, it was nice of Clooney to send flowers. Only thing is that the handwriting on the note was obviously a womans. Logic has it that if Clooney couldn?t write his own sympathy sentence (not even a card but one sentence on a tiny two by three inch piece of paper) when the country mourned the death of an important, well respected media figure, how could one assume that he would take the time to say thanks to fans that send something homemade? I just don?t see it.
Husbands should be like Kleenex: Soft, strong, and disposable.
When you send flowers, doesn't the florist take care of the note writing?
I heard something similar about Johnny Depp. He got dressed up in the full Captain Jack Sparrow to visit kids who were seriously ill.
Again, no press or media.
This actually may be where the blind item comes from.
