I'm looking into starting Crossfit and I was wondering if you have some advice!
There are actually quite a few boxes that I could consider. What do you think is the best thing to look for? All I really know is what's close and their prices, but I know it's not just about the cost. I'd rather get into a really good box and pay a little more/drive a little farther for a better experience.
ps PLEASE tell me there are tons of hot single dudes
I may be guilty of checking out diferent box's FB page to see if they have any pics of their members to check for hotties
Re: *Starryfish!!*
Hey!
I LOVE crossfit! Its amazing! I lost 30 lbs (from running and eating right) in the past year but platoed. Crossfit has helped me gain muscle, lose fat, and I lost a dresssize (I didnt lose any weight bc i havent been "dieting" or watching what I eat, but I have definitely lost fat and gained muscle).
I checked out a couple of the websites for boxes around me. I ended up trying the one closest to my house bc Im lazy. I tried a class for free and really liked it and ended up joining. I REALLY like this box. Everyone is friendly (people do running races together) and fun!
My box owner is really awesome at Crossfit. He qualified for Regionals and placed #10 at regionals! So he definitely knows what he is doing. So my reccommendation is to look at their websites and check each place out (using their free session) and figure out which place works best for you!
Let me know if you have any questions! :-)
Haha cool. I think I MAY just join the one by my house, their prices are reasonable... ish hahah. I was kind of disappointed since a lot of their pictures look like all my parent's age haha but perhaps in the later classes I'll find me some hotties
Do you follow Paleo?
At our morning class it has a lot of people my parents age too. In the afternoon classes, its a lot of people in 20s/30s.
Yeah, try the box by your house for a day or a month and if you dont like it or you dont click with it, try another place.
I dont follow paleo. I sort of follow Primal which is very similar to Paleo but lets you have some good carbs (sweet potatoes, some rice, etc) and some diary.
I can't eat dairy anyway, and I definitely eat sweet potatoes, they are my FAVORITE! I save them for my post workout treat though.
Awesome! You will be SORE your first week! It will feel good! Let me know how it goes!
