***.***.***.

We are literally hemorrhaging money right now. HEMORRHAGING.

Our taxes came out to several thousand more than we were expecting, plus over $900 to have them prepared.

Even though we have never been so much as a penny late on any of our bills, the azzhole loan officer that we met with a couple weeks ago is considering turning our note in to be due ASAP, to the tune of $2,500 due by June 1st.

I just got a call from the business office about the stomach scope. They need a check for over $1,200 by tomorrow morning, with an additional $2-3,000 due in 30 days. I'm going to have to cancel it.

This is in addition to the rest of our bills coming due.

I give up.

Re: ***.***.***.

  • Huber, call them back and tell them that you are not paying a dime until they submit the procedure through your insurance. I got screwed over hard when my DD's Dr's office demanded $500 for her ear tubes the day of surgery.

Because I didn't know any better, we gave it to them. It took 3 months to get most of our money back because insurance covered a large portion of it.

  • My mouth is hanging open at $900 to prepare your taxes and your medical costs. Do you mean to say that you owe $1200 for a procedure already done or one that is booked and you're going to cancel all of them?

Im sorry to hear this huber. I've been here before, sometimes when it rains it pours but it will get better.

  • Our old tax guy fvked them up so badly that our $200 an hour new guy (and his much cheaper underlings) had to refile for the last three years. Hence the huge bill (and not the refund we were expecting).

Can I call them and tell them that I won't pay until its been submitted to insurance?

I had a procedure on Friday that I know is probably going to cost a pretty penny, but I didn't have to pay in advance. I don't know about insurance, all I know is we have it, it sucks and frequently fvks us over.

Also, TN, you can suck it for your censorship.

  • Yes, call them and talk to them about it. Tell them that if they insist you pay before it's been submitted to insurance then you will be cancelling. They have no idea what it is going to cost and how much your insurance is going to cover. They cannot expect you to come up with that much money in 24-48 hours.

  • You might need a tax attorney, but you can probably work out some sort of payment plan with the IRS.

Does Azzhole loan officer have a boss?

AND YES, submit this to the insurance.  Holy heck.

Yikes, H. I'm SO sorry. And totally agree with what sprky said.

    ((((huber))))

    I like privacy. A lot.
  • Well, we've got the taxes paid.

We're looking for another bank to take over the loan. I'm crossing my fingers very, very hard that the other bank will just take it over. We've never, ever missed a payment on anything. Ever.

I've been sitting here doing some figuring and I'm thinking that we might be close to the deductible, so I'm going to call them back. I'm not sure if I should call the insurance company first though.

The frustrating part is that we are making a pretty good amount of money. We're working our asses off and it had been paying off, but all this crap keeps happening and we are ending up with nothing to show for it.

You may have to call the insurance first anyway, because they may need to let you know if this will be covered.  I'd hate for you to do all this and then find out the insurance won't pay because you didn't get preapproval.  Call them.

    Yes, this exactly.

Also, I got screwed in taxes because of my XH and ending up owing several thousand one year. My accountant filed for a payment plan (it's a simple form that you can probably even fill out yourself) and I just paid it off month by month. There was some interest involved of course, but it was really low (I forget what exactly). I set my own monthly payment amount, and they deducted it from my checking account each month. It's all paid off now, no hassle.

  • We are having similar months.  Let me know if you want me to post our hemmorage to make you feel better :)
  • I called and got them talked into billing us after the insurance gets it.

That's better, at least we will have 30 days to figure things out, rather than 18 hours.

So much for a stiff upper lip this week, huh?

  • We've been hemorrhaging since January. This move has cost us over 10k and it's still going. We found out yesterday that they underestimated the cost of the paint job for the basement. It's going to be $500 instead of $250. So full repair of basement = $6000.

  • (((HUGS))) This whole thing really pissed me off on your behalf. I hate it when they pull this crap.

Also, most offices/hospitals will let you do a payment plan. It's zero % interest and you can make affordable payments. That is how I paid off my endoscopy. That way you won't go completely broke trying to pay off a huge lump sum.

    Hang in there hon.
