As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

same as the local/baby boards is my understanding.
Nooooooo! Oh, icky. I mean, it's not like I really get any say in the matter, but FWIW, I am not a fan of the new format. Some of the features they seem to have left off are ones I use regularly. Bugger.
Here's hoping there's an improvement in other features to make up for it.

I assume this is for all the national boards? So many people have sent the Nest complaints about the new format and it's killed both of the local boards I'm on. I'm sure there will be tons of issues, seeing as they haven't fixed 99% of the problems that have been mentioned to date on the local boards.
Exactly. There are a ton of annoying quirks to the new format. If you post on a multi-page thread, you're brought back to page 1 and have to scroll to whatever page you posted on. Super annoying. And +1 pages start at 20 replies instead of 30. AND the smiley faces are crap!

Seriously, the new format is pretty bad. My local board was never a raging kegger, but it's seriously teetotaling now.
And a word to the mods and the Nest Gods... getting rid of the My Posts page kind of makes me lost. I can't remember where I posted and when and to whom and...
I will miss you ladies.....
SJH-Is there a reason the nest doesn't really listen to user feedback? I'm just curious from a mod standpoint? We all know they never listen to us. I'm not even talking about the search function, but things like people asked to have the page numbers at the top and bottom and that never happened.

I'm not sure. I've reported things like that in the past and usually the response is "The tech team has been made aware, thanks!"
Thats a bummer. It took so long I thought they decided not to change the formmating after all. It totally killed my local board, which was actually quite busy before.
I will begin the mourning process now for I see this being the death of the nest.
Yeah, my local board was quite busy also, and now...it's not. The new formatting is actually a downgrade, IMO. Looks terrible, not as easy to use...Maybe the Nest is trying to save money? Who knows.
Wow! You actually get a response! That's exciting. As a non-mod/regular nestie, I used to get some sort of blow-off response, but since they started the new format they seem to have stopped even the auto-responses.
My favorite part of the new format is how a post would show up and then when you click the title the page is blank. Even if it had responses, it could disappear. That is what killed my local board. If you can't actually read the messages, it's not really a message board is it?
They are aware of the disappearing post issues; I think that's why the conversion scheduled for today was delayed.
