Has anyone done Jamie Eason's LiveFit program on bodybuilding.com? I'm starting it today and I am not the best eater. I do not eat enough veggies, because I don't like a lot of them. I wish I could open a bag of carrots or eat some broccoli but I don't like the taste. Does anyone have any suggestions for me to eat more veggies? Thanks!

Re: Eating Vegetables
I'm not familiar with the program, so these may not be options, but:
Try preparing them differently. Steam, Roast, Grill. Raw veggies are hard to eat for some people.
Eat them dipped in hummus.
Try new veggies. You may find one you never knew you loved.
Use greek yogurt and one of those ranch packets as a dip.
Bazinga!

I agree with the pp about trying to prepare them differently. I love to eat carrots and snap peas raw (with hummus) but most other veggies I liked cooked. I love roasting or grilling veggies - especially broccoli and brussels sprouts. Add a little bit of olive oil, a sprinkle of salt, and any other spices you like. When they are almost done I often squeeze a bit of fresh lemon over them.
Also, can you add veggies to other meals? When we make homemade marinara sauce I'll finely chop up some spinach and add it. Or we made shrimp tikka marsala and I added onions, red peppers, and mushrooms.
I agree with others - try them different ways. There are definitely ways to add flavor to veggies. I'm currently on a roasted veggie kick. I am loving roasted broccoli w/ garlic and green beans w/ parmesan.
I was not a big veggie person, either, and I still struggle sometimes with it. I do better when they are mixed in to other things (pasta salad, stir fry, enchiladas, etc) than just plopping down and trying to eat carrots like potato chips - it's just not the same.
I don't know anything about that LiveFit program, but I am also someone who doesn't like raw carrots and broccoli. My solution is to find different ways to cook vegetables, preferably with as little prep time as possible. I also try not to eat veggies with dips or sauces, since usually those add a lot of junk calories.
Stir-fried broccoli is one of my favorite ways to eat broccoli - it'll still be crunchy, but being cooked with soy sauce and garlic makes it taste great.
Roasted cauliflower is also delicious - a bit of salt and olive oil and roast in the oven for 20min.
I've also been finding that vegetables work well when they're baked into something. For example, spinach and/or broccoli quiche.
Romaine lettuce makes a great salad and it's super healthy (unlike its watery cousin iceberg lettuce) - I usually have a salad of it with blue or gorgonzola cheese and grape tomatoes with balsamic vinegar. It's an easy 2 servings of vegetables.
Lastly, I've discovered that although I'm not a fan of plain peas, I actually rather like the combination of cooked carrots, corn (canned or frozen), and peas (canned or frozen). Corn isn't really a vegetable, it's a grain, but it adds sweetness so the peas taste better. Also add salt if you're using frozen, canned usually already has added salt, it makes a big difference.
What's my one best favorite? Not sure I could pick. I don't lovelovelove any one in particular but generally eat many everyday.
Have eggplant Parmesan in the oven now.
