WWYD: If you were making brownies....
And the directions said 35-38 minutes for an 8 X 8 pan or 30-33 minutes for a 9 X 9 and you could only find an 8 X 6 in your kitchen.... Not making brownies is not an option, I will eat the batter if I have to. Will this size pan ruin them? Should I just add about five minutes or will that burn the corners and leave raw middle? Cut the batter in half and save some for tomorrow?

Re: WWYD: If you were making brownies....
I would cook it at the regular time fram and stick a toothpick in the middle of it before I take it out to see if its still gooey in the middle
same. check at 30 minutes or so and see if the toothpick comes out clean.
Put less batter in the pan and bake.
Eat excess batter from the bowl.
WINNING!

HS is correct as usual
It's glass. I put it on the temp it said to for glass pans, and kept a little out....
And seriously, how do do baking pans disappear? I swear I used to have more than I knew what to do with and now I can only find one tiny one? I can handle random socks disappearing, but I draw the line at pans. DO YOU HEAR ME GREMLINS?!?!
I would make two batches and mail some to a grieving widow. Or just eat the extra batter, depends on my mood.
And I know that was totally inappropriate. I would have said it out loud and not typed it, but the dog looks at me funny when I talk and there are no other people.
