My child hates sleep. I don't know how this happened.
I love sleep.
H loves sleep.
Our child hates sleep.
We decided to try an early bedtime today. In bed at 7:30. It's now 9:09 and she's in her room counting. She has gone to the bathroom 3 times and actually gone each time. She has a tutu and a headband she was not wearing originally.

I totally feel your pain. LittleL decided he (and we) needed to be awake before 5:00 this morning. We had just gotten both of them sleeping past 6:00 on a regular basis for the first time in YEARS. I swear, when they're lazy teenagers I'm going to regularly douse them in buckets of cold water at the asscrack of dawn as payback.

Oooh, this does give me hope. Only 2 years of torture left!
K decided that 2 am was a good time to start today. She's been doing well for awhile now. DH finally got her down tonight at 7:30. She doesn't nap either.
ohhhhhhhh. I hadn't thought about the lazy teen years as a good time for payback!
If my child slept, it would be different. She finally fell asleep around 9:45. She'll be up once in the middle of the night and up for the day by 7. That's not enough sleep for me.
He got her to bed tonight.
And helped me remember to laugh tonight when she asked to go potty for the third time. She was pretty funny in there singing to herself. And asking "can I get up now?"
I'm sorry, I hate the bed time game.
C is like me in that she has periods where she goes to bed like a dream and then times when she is fighting it tooth and nail. Sometimes she will be in her bed talking to her lovies for over an hour before she falls asleep.
The other night I heard her tell her lovie "OK, Daddy's done with the shower." then she climbed out of bed and went to find him in our room. lol
