Happy May Day, everyone!

Our current guests are keeping DD so entertained that she's thoroughly exhausted and sleeping in every day. So, by 9:30am, I've been up for a run, have had breakfast, am at my computer working and nesting and she's still blissfully asleep. And here I was thinking I wouldn't get any "me" time with the house full of visitors!

How's everyone else's May Day? Any plans? I think we're going to take a little boat cruise up the Seine with our visitors if the weather cooperates.

Re: Happy May Day, everyone!

  • Happy May day! I'm flying to the States today (third time this year so far...) for a work conference and then a weekend with my sister.

So I'm nesting and thinking about packing and then getting on an airplane.

  • I'm a civil servant, so I have the day off. YAY! Got a manual therapy appointment this afternoon and will probably go buy some more bags of dirt for my yard. We finished almost all the new landscaping and fencing and stuff yesterday, but I was a couple of bags of dirt short to be able to plant everything. I hope the rain subsides, so I can actually go and finish stuff.

  • IT'S SUNNY!!!!!!!

It's been raining for the last, oh, three weeks so this is definitely a welcome surprise. I imagine the town will be chock full of Bilbainos today, so I think we'll just chill. DH has to tutor our friends' kids, so I'm trying to think of what to do with them in English. I really want to go to the neighboring town to have lunch but I don't think DH will be up for it. Frickin' Spanish financial crisis..
  • We're in the States now, so no May Day for us. But we'll still be here for Labor Day, so we're not missing the holiday altogether. :-) Today we've got an afternoon at the office where my mom works - they're financial planners and we'll be going to get an assessment of how well we're spending our money and advice on what we should do differently. And maybe they'll also ask us why we didn't list off that account with $500,000 in our name that my mom keeps telling them about... oh wait, that's just my daydream.
