    When I was younger, my grandpa told me not to look for the person I could live with for the rest of my life, but the person I couldn't live without.

  • When we got married the standard blessing/congratulatory remark is 'Casa de piatra si mult intelegere'. It means they wish you a solid home and to have much understanding. One relative further explained that it meant a happy marriage depends on you really understanding your spouse and thinking from their point of view. It really stuck with me.
