I actually successfully bleached my white IKEA slipcover

We have the Jenny Lund (or whatever) IKEA chair with a white slipcover.  We've had it for about 4 years or so, and I've maybe washed the slipcover 4-5 times.  This last time, I had a bunch of blue dye on it from new jeans.  I was afraid to wash it, but after 2 times through a bleach wash with lots of soaking, it looks like new!

I do wish this chair were more comforable (aside from our leather couch, it is the only other chair in our living room), but given how well the white slipcover has held up I can't complain.

  • Glad you were able to get the blue out.  I need to wash mine this week.  Ugh.
